The ward reservation process for the Manesar Municipal Corporation has been completed. Under the chairmanship of District Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav, seven wards out of twenty have been reserved for women. Five wards have been reserved for the general category, one for the backward class, and one for the scheduled caste.
District Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav has reserved ward numbers 15, 16, and 20 of Manesar for the scheduled castes according to the data of family identity cards. Ward number 15 has been reserved for the scheduled caste women category of these three wards by drawing lots.
For the Backward Class A women category, drawing lots has reserved one ward out of the more populated wards 8, 9, and 17. Ward number 9 has been reserved for the BCA women category.
Five wards have been reserved for general category women by writing the ward numbers of the other 16 wards. These include ward numbers 2, 3, 14, 18, and 19. Nomination can be filed by any male from the general category or ward numbers 1, 4, 5, 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 17.
The District Deputy Commissioner got the box thoroughly examined impartially by the citizens and officials present before holding the draw. This draw was conducted by putting slips in empty boxes and calling the citizens in the auditorium. After everyone’s satisfaction, District Deputy Commissioner Nishant Kumar Yadav said that the wards have been reserved for the Municipal Corporation Manesar and that the election process will only be completed based on ward reservation.
During this process, Joint Commissioner of Manesar Municipal Corporation Dinesh Kumar was present as a representative of the Local Bodies Directorate. Deputy Commissioner’s OSD Preeti Rawat, Zonal Taxation Officer Devendra Kumar, Assistant Pradeep Sharma, Adhoc Committee members Ravi Numberdar, Balbir Singh, Balkishan, and JJP official Rishiraj Rana were present in the auditorium.
